ABOUT ROBBIE BECKER
A confident and proficient prudential risk specialist with strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of financial markets and products. Extensive experience in credit risk management in the private sector for 8 years as well as during my time supervising commercial banks. Specialist knowledge of prudential risk, gained throughout my 6 years in Bank Supervision at the PRA across a range of firms (US and Japanese banks) and a year in consultancy work. Experienced in collaborating with other financial regulators through regular engagement including a range of joint technical reviews. Led many different C-SREP and L-SREP reviews for a lot of different international banks during my time with the PRA, expanding my cross firm experience. Since joining the PRA, also spent 12 months on a secondment in the PRA Governance function, which broadened strategic insight and understanding of the PRA decision making process from a top down perspective. After working as a liquidity specialist since 2021 in the PRA leading L-SREPs and contributing to liquidity policy, I have taken on a new challenge moving into regulatory policy at Barclays and look forward to the new experiences it will entail.
