Past chair of the Firm’s Europe & Middle East Practice and former managing partner of its Budapest, Hungary office. Active in civic affairs, Mr. Knuepfer is the Secretary and a Trustee of the Adler Planetarium. He is a past chair of Metropolitan Family Services of Chicago, and board member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. He was the Centennial President of the Rotary Club of Chicago, and a District Governor for Rotary International. He also served as president of the Executives Club, and is a member of the Economic Club, the Lawyers Club, and The Chicago Club, among others. He is past president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary. He is a former U.S. criminal prosecutor, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Federal Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois, and the Illinois Supreme Court. He earned his JD and MBA degrees from Northwestern University, and his BA degree from Denison University (Phi Beta Kappa).
