Very briefly my role involves Ansys Fluent, Ansys Rocky and a few other tools looking out of the company. In other words helping users work out which piece of software to use, then get the most out of those tools, and occasionally when to revert to pen & paper for a solution. Over the years (now decades!) I\'ve carried out consultancy projects, delivered (and written) training courses, presented at conferences and coordinated UK training. The latter was a challenge in that I had to persuade colleagues to do things with no authority: big change from largely working as an individual albeit within a team. More recently I\'ve been working with the Learning Forum and wider Community to promote it\'s use, growth and extend it\'s usefulness. The next generation of engineers need to be trained, and simulation is going to be an increasing part of all projects.And now we\'re into the AI/GPT age. Thankfully (for everyone) I\'m not coding, but instead working with the tools to ensure quality and precision prevail. No point having an assistant that can\'t assist. Still working on adding the sarcastic comments though.
