ABOUT ROB WADLEY IENG MISTC MRAES

Service in the Royal Air force has led to a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of aviation, including gaining my private pilot\'s licence. After leaving the RAF [XV Sqn] I turned to my current career in engineering initially for BAe. This has led over the years to the project management and eventual design, implementation of a DEF STAN 00-600 compliant XML publications system for the Type 45 destroyer and I then progressed on to manage the technical documentation for future aircraft carrier (CVF) project. I have also worked as a consultant for ODL Woodgroup in the oil and gas industry. My experience in project management and my knowledge in the field of XML / SGML and the specification has allowed me to deliver presentations on the subject to many board level audiences.I also have experience gained over several years developing land based projects with documentation written iaw JSPs in the form of AESPs etc. These have been whilst working with the UK MOD PTs on projects involving well known communications and satellite systems.My later roles have included that of Documentation Architect, responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall architecture, standards, processes, and guidelines for documentation provided by the client.I have recently worked on the ILS design for supportability for Type 26, ensuring logistical information is fit for purpose prior to input into the ship\'s LSAR database.I have worked as an an IPS /ILS engineer on The AW101 helicopter in Yeovil.This role required knowledge across the whole IPS spectrum including LORA, DRACAS, and RCM etc.I am currently working at Babcock international within supportability as TD lead on a large Marine project.Specialties: Project management, ILS and team leadership Application of DEFSTAN 00-600 and and XML.Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint and Paint, Arbortext Epic.Conversant with Framemaker.Eagle Publishing systemCreative use of Excel as a data management and presentation tool.Simplified Technical English and Plain English.GOLDesp.
