A strategic and proactive role dealing with the acquisition and disposal of NHS Property Services Assets to deliver housing numbers and the generation of capital revenues to satisfy cabinet office objectives and to ensure the strategic management of the company portfolio.Combined with target led, strategic acquisitions to enable the delivery of new health and business related real estate to meet national and regional health commissioning strategies throughout the North of England. NHS Property Services is the largest private property company in Europe and as such the role involves the strategic acquisition and disposal of all property classes.• Identifying surplus properties and land, both freehold and leasehold and liaising with commissioners, consultants, agents, solicitors, landlords and potential purchasers in order to declare those properties surplus, ensure that the properties are de risked and the best value is achieved.• Identifying properties and land to acquire either freehold or leasehold for a variety of purposes including new build development. Liaising with the Department of Health, commissioners, consultants, agents, solicitors and potential occupiers in order to ensure that the best value is achieved.• Dealing with all work in connection with Legal Charges in NHS PS’s favour and liaised with the chargee, solicitors, agents and valuers for any potential Legal Charge discharge.• Dealling directly with both tenants and landlords, building surveyors and solicitors with regard to dilapidation negotiations and settlement.
