ABOUT ROB STROUD
I am an experienced manager and leader in a range of areas related to higher education policy in England. I have a particular interest and experience in the quality and management of the student experience at institutional and sector levels, new methods of HE delivery, and in supporting a diverse HE sector. I have a detailed understand of the operations of higher education providers, the regulatory environment for higher education, and the interaction between the two. I pioneered and developed HEFCE’s approach to engaging with private providers, building a joint unit with the Department for Education that has been praised by sector bodies and other parts of government for its effectiveness and impact. I enjoy managing and building effective relationships with complex stakeholders. I have experience in working with student feedback and translating it into action. I have developed processes for student engagement and involving students in governance processes and managed a number of student feedback mechanisms.
