ABOUT ROB SMITH
After 25 years with the BBC as a multi award winning broadcaster and journalist in both TV and Radio, in 2021 I decided to strike out on my own and set up Wild Rover Media. Using my experience as the main presenter of BBC South East Today for 11 years, I can help you understand what the media wants from an interview, and how to think about your messaging when you engage with the media - and how to best present yourself when in front of a camera or microphone.As a film maker, I can help you tell the story of your business in a warm and engaging way, producing video that can sit on your website, be used on social media, or sent via email to prospective clients. I am an incisive interviewer and passionate communicator, with the ability to assimilate large quantities of complex information quickly, and cut through the jargon to get to the heart of the matter - known for bringing warmth and humour to complex and pressurised situations. I am also an experienced host of awards ceremonies, moderating q&a sessions, and leading conference style events.With a distinctive and friendly broadcast voice, I am also a top quality voiceover performer.
