ABOUT ROB PORTER
Diligent, hard-working and creative TV producer, with over a decade of experience working in the media industry. Originally from Lincoln, I graduated from the University of Liverpool having studied Modern History (BA Hons) before completing an MA in Broadcast Journalism at City University London in 2013. Having relocated to London, I worked as a broadcast journalist at Sunrise Radio. Here I read live news bulletins and gained experience in a bustling and intense newsroom. My first venture into sports media came at Perform Group (now Stats Perform), where I initially worked on a freelance basis, before becoming a permanent member of staff. My job included producing short, internet-friendly video clips. Scripting, editing and, sometimes filming in order to create engaging content. I also worked on a 30-minute daily program and gained TV production experience. After five years at Perform, I moved onto my current role as Assistant Producer at Premier League Productions. After three seasons producing magazine features for the Preview show (broadcast on Sky and BT Sport as well as worldwide), I moved onto my current role in VT for PLP\'s flagship broadcast - Matchday Live. Here I have added live producing to my already extensive experience in non-live. Although I specialise in football and cricket, I also follow tennis and rugby union. Outside sport, I have a keen interest in news and current affairs.
