The Director of Infrastructure Engineering and Operations is a critical leader for the IT Operations and Delivery Management team. The leadership span of control is comprised of both internal and managed service provided teams, which requires a unique ability to inspire and evolve the teams while delivering results. • Lead teams in the most highly complex tasks requiring the application of advanced IT infrastructure and/or business application knowledge, skills, practices and procedures, along with creative insights in order to successfully complete assignments • Develop and maintain credibility and effective working relationships with both client management and IT personnel in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business problems, IT strategies, issues, and priorities • Participate in development and implementation of strategies to meet organizational goals, ensuring that client and IT priorities are aligned and accomplished • Lead teams or larger projects with complex infrastructure applications requiring strong leadership traits and/or leads teams involved in the analysis, design, development and implementation of software applications; is able to determine requirements, plans projects, and establish priorities and monitors progress • Evaluate status, resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team’s effectiveness • Leadership responsibilities also include accountability for the team as a whole as well as employee management through career development, performance management, and employee communication • Work with substantial latitude and is often involved in matters which have a major bearing on the Company’s business; evaluate the effectiveness of staff performance in support of business requirements
