Ensure that provincial industry standards are developed and maintained for an assigned group of trades and designated occupations- Accountable for facilitating the determination of training requirements for apprentices in collaboration with industry stakeholders, for existing and newly designated trades and occupations- Develope and maintaining provincial trade and occupational training programs, associated administration materials, and evaluation instruments- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, maintain and update national occupational analyses, examinations, item banks, and other standards for interprovincial trades and occupational training programs- Maintain a leadership role in the research, design, development, and designation of emerging trades and occupations and in the development and implementation of new initiatives for the delivery of apprenticeship and occupational work in collaboration with industry stakeholders- Consult and collaborate extensively with representatives of industry and training providers throughout all processes- Initiate, develops, and implement processes to ensure the ongoing evaluation of trade and designated occupation training programs, evaluation instruments, and training providers located throughout the province- Offer strategic guidance and advice to stakeholders to foster movement toward AIT system goals and priorities- Play a critical role in liaison and communication exchange with industry, training providers, and other provincial and federal government departments to achieve Alberta’s high standards and priorities for apprenticeship training.
