About Rob Lewis
Rob Lewis is an Emmy, Peabody, DuPont and NAACP Image Award winning Creative and Production Executive with a proven track record overseeing development and production of live broadcasts and documentary films for cable and network television, digital media and streaming video. With a hands on approach to production, Rob has demonstrated success identifying and recruiting new talent and growing production teams.Most recently, Rob has been Senior Director of Multi-Format Production at the Wall Street Journal responsible for production and operations teams supporting video and audio content creation and live streaming. He is a proactive and visionary leader with strong team-management and collaboration skills utilized to actively resolve daily production challenges. Rob successfully drove the introduction of vital workflow improvements by designing and integrating key infrastructure and technology upgrades to production studios, podcast rooms and video control rooms. Previously, Rob was Senior Producer and Director of Production for CBS This Morning. In this role, he was responsible for all operational and production logistics for the Emmy Award®-winning daily morning show. As department head he supervised operations and technical teams on remote productions, in the control room, video studios and the newsroom. Rob worked seamlessly with production staff, on-air talent and all cross functional departments that support development and daily production. At Viacom and BET News, Rob developed and executed impactful documentary films that featured the reelection campaign of President Barack Obama, the championship journey of Muhammad Ali, the tragedy of Trayvon Martin, the search for justice for Michael Brown and the legacy and farewell tribute to Nelson Mandela.Rob is a well respected journalist who has worked on network television, cable and digital streaming news and special reports seen by millions and is the recipient of the industry’s highest awards including four Emmys that acknowledge his distinctive work.He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS), the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
