DEMONSTRATED ACHIEVEMENTS * Collaborated with Nebraska State legislature to realign parole supervision under the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) with LB631 in April 2024.* Created a dedicated Reentry Division within the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to provide a holistic and systematic approach to prepare incarcerated men and women for successful reentry into the community.* Utilized available legislation and IDOC policy to restructure and streamline population reduction mechanisms which safely reduced the population by more than 25%, resulting in IDOC\'s lower population level since 1991.* Collaborated with the Illinois state legislature to expand eligibility and opportunities to earn discretionary sentence credit, which increased awarded credits by more than Guided restrictive housing reform and implemented a standardized statewide policy on the use of restrictive housing, which resulted in a 40% reduction in IDOC\'s restrictive housing population.* Provided criminal justice consultant services and training to federal, state, and local correctional agencies. Assessed facility operations, organizational climate, program performance, and methods to reduce prison violence via data analysis, trends, and outcome measures.
