As Area Development Director for UNCF in South Florida, I establish short- and long-range fundraising goals and lead comprehensive, cost-effective campaigns that support UNCF’s 37 member institutions. Serving as an ambassador for UNCF, I manage a portfolio spanning major gifts, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and workplace giving—cultivating and stewarding donors to meet and exceed revenue targets. I build partnerships with corporations, chambers, churches and faith networks, alumni, and civic groups; collaborate with PR and social teams to amplify scholar stories and our commitment to Representation, Equity, and Inclusion; and plan marquee events such as the Leaders Luncheon to raise funds and visibility. I recruit and mobilize volunteer leadership through the Leaders Council to open doors and fulfill give/get commitments. Using data and CRM tools (Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft 365), I forecast pipeline, track KPIs, and report ROI for campaigns and events. Above all, I translate generosity into access—so more students earn degrees, transform family trajectories, and strengthen South Florida’s future.
