As part of my role as CEO of Liberdade we have created a theatre and licensed cafe in Gosforth after successfully securing the empty Gosforth Civic Hall via a community asset transfer. The building is now a great community facility providing a place for learning disabled people to train and be visible, come in for a coffee or book a ticket to see a show.

I\'m passionate about social inclusion, my strengths include strategic planning and delivery, fundraising, social enterprise leadership, and managing complexity. I founded and developed a social enterprise and charity that uses the arts to generate social change. I have spent over 20 years working in the disability arts sector, and more recently in the broader cultural sector since opening and developing GCT. I am shy and you won’t find me at many networking events! but I am hugely determined and love to work alongside others to create organisations that have real lasting impact on the communities they serve.
