About Rob Graff
The urgency of the climate crisis requires immediate action to dramatically shift our economy to burn less fossil fuel. This shift requires intense collaboration among all those whose activities affect and are affected by the profound changes required: businesses, regulators, consumers, policy makers, citizens, and government at all levels. That’s why I find it deeply rewarding to use the technical and leadership skills I’ve acquired over the course of my 20+ years in the energy, climate change, and transportation fields to bring people together to come up with solutions that serve the diverse needs of multiple stakeholders in order to effect the deep system changes needed to slow or halt climate change.Access to reliable and trustworthy information is critical to this work, as I’ve learned in my years working as a researcher, investigator, and greenhouse gas emissions accountant. The better we understand the root causes of a problem, the better suited we are to address it. Without robust data, without intentional collaboration, we risk duplicating efforts, working at cross purposes, and implementing partial, ineffective, costly, or even harmful policies. When we share best practices, bring diverse perspectives to bear, and assist one another in pursuit of a shared goal, we meaningfully increase the chances of improved health and prosperity for all.
