The Director of Emergency Communications is responsible for the direction of the Communications Department which includes E-911, radio, wireless and land communication systems. This is responsible administrative and management work in planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling the operations and maintenance of the Emergency Communications Center, its employees, facilities, equipment and grounds. Major duties include developing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for overall administration and generally overseeing all department activities. The Director of Emergency Communications reports to the Mayor\'s Chief of Staff.
