Rob Fischer is Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Labor Relations for Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, the largest flat-rolled steel producer in North America and a leading supplier of automotive-grade steel. In his role, Mr. Fischer has executive responsibility at Cleveland-Cliffs for all Human Resources and Labor Relations matters across the Company’s broad footprint. This includes maintaining the Company’s highly valued relationships with its labor union partners and the Company’s positive workplace culture for its industry-leading workforce.Mr. Fischer joined Cliffs’ Legal Department in 2010 as Group Counsel, Labor Relations. He served in various management positions within the Company’s Legal Department before transitioning to leadership roles in Human Resources in 2014. He previously served as both Vice President and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Company. In these roles, Mr. Fischer was responsible for executing the Company’s labor relations strategy and leading the Company’s efforts to integrate over new employees who joined the Company following recent acquisitions.Before his tenure with Cleveland-Cliffs, Mr. Fischer was a partner with the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP where he provided labor and employment counsel to a diverse group of clients across many industries. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science, summa cum laude, from Ohio University and a Juris Doctor degree from Vanderbilt University.
