In 2005, the Utah legislature created The Commission on Aging within the Governor\'s Office and began to address how state government and the private sector can prepare for the wave of aging individuals that began in 2006 when the oldest baby boomers turned 60.The Commission is housed at the University of Utah Center on Aging, and works with State departments and local agencies to assure that all aspects of aging individuals\' lives are considered.
