I bring broad-based life experiences and a passion to my work based on a blend of more than 35 years experience in nonprofit and corporate institutions serving the public in areas ranging from affordable housing and community development to financial services, employment and training and health care. My work has focused on economically-distressed urban neighborhoods where the needs are great and resources scarce, but the people are resilient. I thrive as a team player where I can serve in a leadership role in building and focusing public and private resources to transform peoples’ lives and the built environments in which they live, work and play.

As managing editor of EL CENTRAL Hispanic News, I am responsible for the day to day operations of this bilingual (English-Spanish) weekly newspaper and media outlet. Thanks to our growing newsroom comprised of local Latino and other minority journalists and photographers, we offer the most local and original news and features for and about the residents and businesses in Southwest Detroit. Our reach extends beyond Southwest Detroit to the downriver communities and northern suburbs of Detroit through our growing print and online platforms.
