Founded in 1983, Maritime Professional Training (MPT) is the largest private maritime training school in the United States, serving more than students per year, providing training for mariners pursuing careers in both the commercial and yachting segments of the maritime industry. MPT is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. MPT is the most complete full-service private maritime school in the country. Training courses are designed to meet and exceed IMO standards and are fully STCW Compliant. MPT’s Fort Lauderdale-based campus hosts over square feet of classrooms, deck engineering department and dynamic positioning training labs. MPT’s S.M.A.R.T.® campus provides a full range of Simulation for Maritime Assessment Research and Training and features three full mission INS/IBS-equipped navigational bridges along with Dynamic Positioning, ARPA, ECDIS, and Electronic Navigation Labs. The campus is utilized primarily by ships’ officers and crew, pilot groups, and vessel operators to provide realistic training and assessment for the U.S.C.G, MCA, BMA, MI, and STCW regulations. The facility also hosts many unique training programs tailored to meet individual and corporate standards.
