ABOUT ROB CLAYTON HONS

I am a full stack.NET developer with over 19 years of commercial web development experience across a broad range of industries. Highly motivated and tenacious - I am knowledgeable and skilled in a multitude of technologies and frameworks, primarily working with the Microsoft technology stack of.NET C#, MSSQL, Entity Framework, WebApi, MVC and more recently Blazor, hosted on Azure. With Visual Studio as my IDE of choice. I have extensive experience of using the Javascript frameworks React and Angular for the Front-End of a web application using a Microsoft stack backend. I’ve used the above technologies to deliver high traffic, scalable web applications in both a permanent and contract setting. I have a flair for front-end UI/UX and a deep understanding of software architecture and best practice, such as Database Design, TDD, SOLID, Repository Patterns, CI/CD etc. I have also worked with numerous CMS platforms over the years including Wordpress, EpiServe, Sitecore and Umbraco. The latter I am the most proficient with and utilised to build numerous smaller websites for freelance clients in the last 8 years. Very much a team player, with leadership/mentoring experience, I am an excellent communicator with my peers and stakeholders. I have extensively worked in AGILE environments with Kanban and sprints methodologies in fast paced environments where the priorities can shift on a daily basis. I can hit the ground running when undertaking a new assignment and can work on my own initiative as required.
