ABOUT ROB BEDFORD
I’m the co-founder of Franklyn Health, a medtech-focused CRO helping innovators generate the clinical evidence to bring safe, effective devices and diagnostics to market. My career began in academic neuroscience, developing gene therapies for inherited blindness, before moving into the NHS and later leading global clinical programmes for Johnson & Johnson, Smith+Nephew, QIAGEN and Stryker. After seeing how large CROs overlook smaller medtechs, I founded Franklyn Health to work differently—partnering directly with innovators, providing hands-on leadership, and staying accountable from design to submission. At heart, I’m still driven by the same goal that began my career: turning innovation into real patient impact.
