Instructional Leadership Highlights Department Supervision and Teacher Evaluation: Supervised the following departments: Special Education, English, Literacy, Science, ENL, World Language, Art, FACS, Physical Education, Tech/Computer Science, and Music. Conduct formal and mini-observations with related verbal and written feedback aligned to the Marshall Rubric. Coalition Leadership: Established the Student Life Advisory Council (SLAC), which includes 17 members: School Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Administrators. Facilitate bi-weekly meetings around problem-of-practice inquiry, student articulation, task design, and crisis management. Curriculum Design: Led English department in redesign. Created a 6th-grade “lab site,” with literacy coach and consultant Donna Santman, resulting in a 2017-18 NCTE conference presentation. Supported transition in the Science department to NGSS standards. Professional Development: Lead professional development cycles such as: Integrated Co-Teaching in partnership with Southern Westchester BOCES, Restorative Practices with the International Institute of Restorative Practices, and data-informed inquiry with core teams in the 7th grade. Data Leadership: Lead quarterly attendance and achievement data analysis, and action planning with teacher teams and mental health staff, resulting in student intervention. Co-designed student reading log to collect reading data, In its first year, over books were logged by students, including reviews, ratings, and book source locations.Systems and Operations Highlights Student Discipline Management: As AP of Student Life between 20••••23 facilitated discipline for over 1,300 students, including investigations, consequences, hearings, student mediation, and parent outreach. Currently serve as DASA Coordinator. Master Scheduling: Design and manage the school schedule and related data management systems annually for 120 teachers and 1,300+ students.
