Instructional Leadership Highlights Department Supervision and Teacher Evaluation: Supervised the following departments: Special Education, English, Literacy, Science, ENL, World Language, Art, FACS, Physical Education, Tech/Computer Science, and Music. Conduct formal and mini-observations with related verbal and written feedback aligned to the Marshall Rubric. Coalition Leadership: Established the Student Life Advisory Council (SLAC), which includes 17 members: School Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Administrators. Facilitate bi-weekly meetings around problem-of-practice inquiry, student articulation, task design, and crisis management. Curriculum Design: Led English department in redesign. Created a 6th-grade “lab site,” with literacy coach and consultant Donna Santman, resulting in a 2017-18 NCTE conference presentation. Supported transition in the Science department to NGSS standards. Professional Development: Lead professional development cycles such as: Integrated Co-Teaching in partnership with Southern Westchester BOCES, Restorative Practices with the International Institute of Restorative Practices, and data-informed inquiry with core teams in the 7th grade. Currently serve as DASA Coordinator. Master Scheduling: Design and manage the school schedule and related data management systems annually for 120 teachers and 1,300+ students.
