About Rob Anderson

Originally from Pocahontas, Iowa, Rob Anderson moved to the quad cities in 1985 to attend Augustana College. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Augie, he went on to the University of Iowa and earned his Masters of Physical Therapy in 1991. He decided to return to the area and joined Rock Valley Physical Therapy in November of that year. He continued to develop professionally while at Rock Valley Physical Therapy eventually becoming board certified in Orthopedics in 1998 and then a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2002.In addition to his role as a practicing physical therapist he also serves as the clinical manager for the Valley View Drive Clinic. Having been a prior adjunct faculty member for the St Ambrose Physical Therapy Program from he continues his academic involvement by guest lecturing each year to the students in the program to this day.He resides in East Moline and is active in the community, currently he serves on the East Moline School Board. On a personal note, he loves spending time with his 3 children and being involved in their activities. He also tries to lead an active lifestyle, regularly exercising and attempting new endeavors.Rob became a Physical Therapist because he suffered a season ending knee injury in football his senior year and had to have reconstructive surgery and then therapy. Working with the therapist led to his interest in the profession.The most rewarding part of his job is helping people restore their function and ability, and then seeing them get back to the things they enjoy doing.
