About Rob Adams

Rob is the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Technical Operations for American Woodmark and leads the Company in all aspects of business operation, including manufacturing, logistics, materials, engineering, and quality. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, he works with deliberate intention to identify and apply technology and innovation to enhance business operations. With over 30 years of experience, Rob has identified and applied successful business solutions that increase efficiency along the value stream process, saving time and resources. His industry experience spans Manufacturing, Industrial Products, and Consumer Goods.Throughout his career, Rob has drawn on his experience in operations, general management, and engineering to improve business processes that support short-term and long-term objectives. He has successfully tackled challenges across multiple business domains, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), change management, performance management, technical competence, business transformation, continuous improvement (CI | LEAN Implementation and Six Sigma), global/international business operation and expansion, product development, and systems integration. As a catalytic leader, he delivers actionable, tactical business improvement strategy to fuel top-and bottom-line growth.Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a current member of the National Association of Manufacturers and holds LEAN and Six Sigma certifications. He is a former Board of Directors Member for the Glass Manufacturing Industry Council.
