ABOUT ASHLEY HENDERSON
My path from journalism and digital marketing to nursing has been shaped by a commitment to listening first and advocating intentionally for the people I serve. As a Master\'s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) student at the University of San Diego, I am excited to bring my diverse background into the healthcare field. With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, clear communication and advocacy are central to how I support patients. In clinical settings, that means taking the time to explain and clarify information so they feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their care.Working in emergency, procedural, and postpartum environments at Stanford Hospital and Scripps Health has shaped how I respond to patients with different needs, acuity levels, and expectations with consistency, respect, and care.Outside of nursing, I enjoy walks with friends, beach time with my dog, surfing, experimenting with new recipes at home, and the occasional woodworking project. These moments help me reset, stay curious, and show up with intention and care in both my personal life and clinical work.
