About Rashid M. Nelson
I am an alum of Boston University’s Questrom\'s School of Business where my concentration was in Marketing. Through the school of management, I learned the essence of marketing and advertising, and how to market effectively, which I enjoy. I have a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a challenging environment, and have taken an active interest in my field of study. My experience and leadership helped me Co-found a new club on campus, the Boston University Black Business Student Association, an organization created to present events that bridge the networking gap between diverse students and employers, as well as help better equip them for life after college.While attending school, I was awarded a full-tuition Posse Leadership Scholarship, which provides 10 students with the opportunity to attend school at Boston University while growing and learning with nine other leaders that help encourage your success while pursuing your undergraduate degree.Through my scholarship, involvement, and course-load, I learned the essence of teamwork and organization, working with groups of nine to ten students to effectively achieve a common goal.From this scholarship opportunity, I have gained a passion for the field of Sports Management, Marketing and Advertising, and would like to further my knowledge following my completion of my undergraduate degree.
