ABOUT RACHEL M.
With over eight years of experience in customer service and technical support, in September 2022, I made the decision to pursue a new career in software engineering. I am a Frontend Developer at Global, a leading provider of radio, advertising and digital services. After having completed the full-stack CFGDegree from Code First Girls, an online program that teaches software development skills and best practices.As part of Global\'s Early Careers Programme, I was working as a Junior Developer in Commercial Technology, where I began with a rotation in Radio Trading, working with the.NET framework and React v15 to support new feature releases and maintenance of legacy applications. My second rotation involved working with Global\'s Front End Engineering team, where I worked within a small development team to build three new greenfield projects using React v18 and GraphQL, a cutting-edge technology for data fetching and manipulation. Following from the success of the project work ongoing in the Front End Engineering team, I was promoted from the Early Careers Programme early, into a Junior Front End Developer role. I am passionate about creating and improving software solutions that are user-friendly, responsive, and scalable, as well as problem solving issues that arise along the way. I am eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance my capabilities and broaden my horizons. I am open to opportunities that can help me grow and advance in my career as a Software Developer.
