About Ravi Mishra
As a passionate mechanical engineering graduate student with a strong interest in the automotive, mechatronics, soft robotics, and biomedical industries, I am driven by a relentless pursuit of learning and self-improvement. My engineering journey has provided me with a solid technical foundation and hands-on experience in advanced software tools like AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, Ansys, Ultimaker Cura, Matlab, and Simulink, enabling me to tackle complex engineering challenges and make meaningful contributions.Focusing on Automotive and Robotics Engineering, I bring a blend of creative problem-solving and technical expertise to projects involving CAD/CAM, FEA analysis, Tool & Die design, and additive manufacturing. My recent internship at Thai Summit America Corporation honed my process engineering skills, where I utilized Autoform simulations to optimize die performance, achieving a 20% reduction in error rates. Additionally, as a Service Engineer, I improved diagnostic accuracy and streamlined warranty claims, reducing issue resolution times by 30% and enhancing customer satisfaction. My background in Six Sigma Green Belt principles further equips me to implement strategies that reduce variation and improve quality, directly supporting customer satisfaction. This approach drives my commitment to continuous improvement and my collaborative approach to problem-solving. Leading teams in various engineering projects, I have contributed to product development efforts that demand precision, efficiency, and innovation, strengthening my adaptability and preparing me for challenging roles in dynamic environments.Currently, I am seeking a 2026 internship to further develop my skills and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the automotive and soft robotics sectors. My goal is to apply Six Sigma methodologies to deliver impactful solutions that integrate robust engineering principles with forward-thinking design. If you’re looking for an intern with strong technical abilities, a growth mindset, and a commitment to quality improvement and customer satisfaction, I’d be thrilled to connect and discuss how I can add value to your

Graduate Research Assistant

Worked on hard-magnetic soft materials (HMSMs) for soft robotic actuation and controllable large-deformation motion under applied magnetic fields.2. Built a Python (Jupyter) finite-element workflow to simulate magnetically driven deformation, run parametric studies, and produce dimensionless performance plots (e.g, tip deflection and actuation angle vs normalized magnetic loading), guided by established HMSM modeling approaches (e.g, Zhao et al, 2019).3. Simulated the relationship between normalized free-end deflection and normalized magnetic flux density (magnetic loading), plotted response curves for the cantilever configuration, and performed a mesh/element sensitivity study (different mesh sizes and element types). Compared FEM predictions against the Zhao (2019) benchmark trends and evaluated how discretization choices influence predicted HMSM actuation performance.4. Supported magneto-mechanical characterization and constitutive-model validation by linking magnetic inputs to measured/simulated large-deformation response and generating publication-quality plots.5. Visualized deformation and field outputs using ParaView (mesh/field inspection, displacement/strain visualization) to communicate results clearly.6. Researched and explored HMSM fabrication and experimental setup development, contributing to repeatable sample preparation and test planning for magnetic actuation measurements.7. Reviewed and synthesized literature on fracture, fatigue, and crack propagation in magnetoactive elastomers to identify modeling gaps and future research directions.
