You only have one shot at life - I want to capitalize on the time that I do have to make a positive impact and make our world a better place. A career in the military has taught me that my experiences and the relationships that I have developed, define my worldview and the person I am today. I have a passion for people and creating conditions to allow them to grow and excel, both professionally and personally.I still remember the day I left for Navy boot camp; if you would have asked me then if I could envision where I would be today, it certainly wouldn\'t be this. I was naïve, closed-minded, and unaware of the world around me. Today, after six deployments, 40 countries, and experiencing both the best and the worst aspects of humanity, I am humbled and honored to have served my country and the intelligence community in multiple roles. A few of the highlights from my military career include the privilege of leading and mentoring teams in dynamic, high-stakes environments; training and mentoring more than 1,300 students in basic and advanced intelligence disciplines; engaging with foreign military partners to develop and implement impactful programs contributing to mutual security and defense; and working with joint, interagency, and special operations task forces around the world.I am known as someone who can lead teams in ambiguous and challenging environments in order to achieve specific results. I advise C-level leadership in matters related to external engagement and strategic messaging, threat mitigation, and consistently seek to solve complex problems.My friends would describe me as humble, empathetic, and dependable; professionally, I am recognized as someone who has integrity, speaks truth-to-power, and is an effective communicator. My family means the world to me, and they are my anchor. Outside of work, my time is spent with them in the outdoors, traveling, and experiencing new cultures.
