The role of Associate Director for risk assurance covers the whole of UK (previously included Europe) developing governance risk and compliance (GRC) frameworks for high profile corporate and public sector clients including many NHS Trusts and large charity organisations. As a senior position in the firm I specialise in enterprise and strategic risk management activities across the UK and I am recognised as the RSM strategic risk specialist. Key projects include risk strategy and risk maturity reviews to full board assurance frameworks with highly complex organisations. The main focus of my skill set is advising boards, developing strategy and risk appetite to policy frameworks and building a positive risk culture. In addition to the above I have also been part of the development and advancement of our in-house GRC software system.I am often invited to speak at conferences on a range of topics in addition to regularly developing thought leadership for professional journals and teach the CST Risk Masterclass, IRM and NHS Providers Risk Management Professional Certification.
