About Rebecca Stern

I am a forest ecologist by training, passionate about transforming our society to a low-carbon economy while restoring nature. I have a decade of experience in climate change and nature research and application. I work in quantifying corporate nature risks and opportunities to ultimately help companies support development of a corporate nature strategy. This work aligns with guidance from the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosure, Science-Based Targets for Nature, and EU CSRD regulation. Previously I also advised clients on voluntary carbon market standards and worked with companies to identify potential applicable methodologies for Natural Climate Solutions projects. I am certified on the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions. I also supported multi-sectoral clients in quantifying their exposure to future climate-driven physical risk, aligned with TCFD. I am passionate about building an equitable workplace and working to increase the number of young women, particularly in underrepresented groups, in the STEM workforce.
