Volunteer as an Assistant Council Commissioner and District Training Chair in the Chicora District of Indian Waters Council, Scouting America. I also serve as a Unit commissioner, in which I help units succeed with a good program that attracts and retains youth members. I have the privilege of serving units and teaching, both of which are very rewarding to me. If units are successful, then the Scouting program is a success. As the mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law, that makes my job incredibly worthwhile for our kids.I was asked if I could take on the role as the District Training Chair for our District. As I\'m a firm believer that adult training is one of the foundational elements of a successful program, I\'m looking forward to helping drive training here. I\'m really excited about this!
