I focus my practice on oil and gas matters and estate planning. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and highly personalized counsel in estate planning, wealth preservation strategies, beneficiary and inheritance protection and business planning. I have a holistic and education-based approach to estate planning and designing wealth preservation strategies. I listen closely to the concerns, goals, dreams and values of my clients and work with them to develop strategies that achieve their goals and values. As a husband and father, I recognize that estate planning is more than avoiding probate or estate taxes, but providing and caring for families and loved ones.I am Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. My oil and gas practice includes title opinions, division order opinions, joint operating agreements, joint ventures, acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas assets, federal leases, pooling and unitization issues, environmental and regulatory matters, and energy and environmental litigation. I also have experience representing individuals and businesses in commercial litigation, environmental litigation, real property disputes, breach of contract matters, and other business disputes in state and federal courts. My real estate practice includes both residential and commercial real estate transactions. I am a frequent speaker on issues relating to estate planning and the development of unconventional shale plays and have given presentations regarding legal issues of oil and gas development in Texas, Ohio, Colorado and other shale play states. I am licensed to practice law in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and Colorado.
