About Rk Misra
RK Misra is an undergraduate from IIT Kanpur with Masters Degree from Tokyo University. He is an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government & Global Leadership Fellow of Aspen Institute, USA.He is non-resident scholar at Carnegie India, A Global Think Tank. At Carnegie, RK researches on issues of Technology & Public Policy. He is the Convenor of annual Carnegie Global Technology Summit.For over two decades RK has worked on improving India-Japan Technology Collaboration & Investment. He founded BTTI (BLR-Tokyo Technology Initiative), a Biannual Technology & Innovation Summit, to facilitate collaboration & Investment between technology startups & large corporations of India and Japan. RK along with Ministry of Economy & Trade, Japan (METI) help set up a $200M India-Japan Fund of Funds, a first ever, to facilitate cross border Technology Investment & Collaboration.RK is the Co-Chair for ASSOCHAM-Karnataka/South, India\'s oldest & largest Apex Chamber of Commerce and Industry.RK is also the Cofounder of YULU, India\'s largest \'Shared Mobility Platform\' driven by electric 2 wheelers, both for Personal Mobility and Goods Delivery.After BTech from IIT Kanpur in 1989, RK was selected for MEng degree from the prestigious Tokyo University under a special internationalization initiative of Japanese Ministry of Education. Post graduation, RK spent early years of his professional career in Japan.On returning to India in 1995, he founded Tenet Technologies, Tenet Telecom & Tenet Holdings with global business presence. He also founded India’s first Travel Portal, Traveljini.com. He grew these businesses with successful mergers & buyouts.In 2005, he decided to leave the corporate world to engage with the issues of Public Policy & Governance along with his Philanthropic initiative, SAHYOG - Indian Council for Public Private Partnership, which works on “Sustainable Development” in Urban Centers and “Livelihood Opportunities” in Rural IndiaRK actively engages with state governments, central ministries and industry bodies on matters of public policy and economic development.In 2008, RK was adjudged, the WINNER of the LEAD INDIA, an initiative by the Times of India to identify new generation political leaders. RK is the Chief Patron of Bangalore International Midnight Marathon
