Successfully managing HSE systems and staff throughout the project life cycle including early earthworks, underground utility installation, underground tunneling, heavy civil operations, concrete building and bridge construction, temporary electrical power, structural steel, above ground piping, equipment installation, permanent power (both in-ground and overhead), MEP, finishes, start-up and client turnover.    Mr. Haehn currently serves as Director of HSE for Archer Western\'s Mid-Atlantic Region (VA/MD/DE/DC) for both Transportation and Water Business Lines. He is responsible for leading the region in the development and implementation of HSE processes and working directly with the region\'s Vice President to ensure world class HSE performance. He mentors HSE Senior Staff, Project Executives and Senior project management to provide support, guidance, coaching and expertise in the execution of HSE processes and supporting culture. His leadership has led to Archer Western Construction becoming the first contractor to receive the Voluntary Protection Program Star Award Certification from the Virginia Department of Labor (VA DOLI) and Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Administration (VOSH) in the 30+ year history of the program. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Northern Virginia\'s American Society of Safety Professionals Chapter (ASSP-NoVA) and the planning committee for the annual Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Conference (MACSC).
