I am defining role on the job with the objective of developing new products leveraging market and customer data while incorporating business, engineering and design constraints. This role involves 4 main areas of early stage product development-The first is automotive product portfolio planning reporting to the executive team that delivers the program volumes as the initial input for future factory planning and company workforce resource planning-The second is defining the target customer and customer facing requirements that drive engineering architecture targets-The third is managing early stage product finance to set the initial program revenue, cost, and profit margin targets and support the engineering team to design systems to meet the cost targets-The fourth is internally called customer desirability, ensuring the program vehicle attributes and specifications will meet customer expectations and target program sales volumes
