ABOUT MUHAMAD RIZKY RIZALDY

I have been involved in the sphere of ethical and Islamic business and finance since 2009, both in academia and as a practitioner. Since that time, I spend most of my time in four main activities: doing research, teaching at universities and schools, managing SMEs, and getting involved in community socio-economic development together with my own Islamic microfinance institution and youth organizations or participated/invited to be a part of projects initiated by other communities.I am an LPDP Scholarship awardee. I hold a Master of Science in Islamic Finance and Management from Durham University Business School (UK) and a Master of Management from Gunadarma University (Indonesia). I won the best paper awards in the two most prominent and prestigious conferences on Islamic Economics and Finance in Indonesia: Islamic Economics Research Forum (FREKS) organized by the Indonesia Central Bank and Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2017; and the Annual Islamic Finance Conference (AIFC) organized by the Ministry of Finance in 2019. My research interests lie in the management aspects of development initiatives within the area of Islamic economics, business, and finance. My works have been published in Thunderbird International Business Review (by Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University) and International Journal of Economics and Management (by Universiti Putra Malaysia), along with a book chapter published by the Ministry of Finance, Republic of Indonesia. I have been a member of the editorial board of Journal of Islamic Accounting and Finance Research (Walisongo State Islamic University, Semarang) and an associate reviewer of IHTIFAZ: Journal of Islamic Economics, Finance, and Banking (Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta) and Review of Islamic Economics and Finance (Indonesia University of Education, Bandung).I have delivered invited presentations and/or seminars to a wide range of universities in Indonesia including: Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University (Riau); University of Padjadjaran (Bandung); State University of Jakarta; Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (Jakarta); Alauddin State Islamic University (Makassar); UPN Veteran Jakarta; Pelita Bangsa Islamic College (Bekasi); Djuanda University (Bogor); and State Islamic College of Sorong (West Papua).
