About Riya Pokhriyal
Hi, I’m Riya! I’m a senior MIS student in the Bauer Business Honors Program at the University of Houston, graduating in May 2026.I’ve gained hands-on experience through internships, externships, coursework, and case competitions. At Beats by Dr. Dre, I am working with consumer data using Python and AI-powered tools to identify customer patterns and pain points. I also completed a summer internship at Igloo Product Corp, where I worked with Zendesk data, Excel, and Power BI and supported the rollout of an AI response tool. In another externship, I used SQL to explore internal datasets and summarize operational patterns.Alongside technical work, I’ve held leadership roles as a shift leader and assistant manager, which strengthened my communication and ability to work in fast-paced environments. I’m also involved in MISSO, where I take part in technical workshops and case competitions.Outside of school and work, I enjoy watching movies, trying new restaurants, and playing pickleball.Open to connecting and happy to share my resume or talk more about my experience.
