I’m Riya Pathare, an MBA candidate at K J Somaiya Institute of Management, with a deep interest in marketing, business strategy, and human resources. I’m passionate about exploring new ideas, learning continuously, and applying creative yet data-driven approaches to real-world business challenges.Currently, I’m contributing to the Renovatio Foundation under the Ankur ELI Project, a social impact initiative focused on community development and empowerment. This experience has allowed me to engage closely with meaningful grassroots work and has strengthened my belief that leadership also means giving back to society and creating inclusive opportunities for others.My professional background spans across social media marketing, business development, and HR operations, having worked with diverse organizations such as: • Maison de Palanquin (London, UK) – Managing recruitment and HR strategy while designing digital marketing campaigns for a global luxury fashion brand. • Garrison Rojo – Oversaw social media marketing, intern management, and branding initiatives across multiple platforms. • Brainyybones – Promoted mental health awareness by developing digital content and business collaborations with professionals in the field.Beyond academics, I serve as the Captain of the Somaiya Basketball Team and I am the Marketing Head at the Sports Committee of KJSIM, experiences that have honed my leadership, communication, and team management abilities. I’ve also represented Maharashtra at the state level (2019 Champions) and the South West District of Maharashtra at the district level (2017).I’m deeply motivated by opportunities that allow me to blend strategic thinking, creativity, and social consciousness; creating value not only for organizations but also for the communities they serve.
