ABOUT RIVKY OSTROVER
Hi, I’m Rivky, Director of Development at Eliya - an organization that assists young children with blindness and severe vision impairments. My career is driven by one core mission: connecting people, purpose, and resources to create meaningful, sustainable impact.I began my professional journey in education, earning a degree in Education with a specialization in ESL, and teaching at both high school and college levels. Those early years shaped my ability to communicate across cultures, inspire diverse audiences, and build strong, trust-based relationships — skills that continue to guide my work in development, strategy, and partnership building.Growing up in a multicultural family — Swedish-born, with Greek, Spanish, and Russian roots, and now based in Israel — gave me a global outlook and a deep appreciation for diversity. This background informs my approach to public affairs, donor relations, sponsorships, and cross-sector collaboration.I value clear, effective storytelling as a tool for engagement and impact.Over the years, I’ve contributed to various publications and served as editor of a Jerusalem Post youth magazine, honing my ability to craft compelling narratives that engage stakeholders and translate complex ideas into clear, motivating messages.Professionally, I bring extensive experience in development and fundraising, having helped secure seven-figure grants for organizations supporting individuals with medical challenges, people with special needs, and women entering the workforce, as well as working with companies to increase revenue through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and tailored growth initiatives. I have built and managed long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and corporate partners, established Friends’ organizations, and developed strategies that turn vision into measurable, sustainable growth.Beyond my professional work, I believe strongly in the balance between body and soul. As a certified life coach, fitness instructor, and black-belt taekwondo practitioner, I support others in building confidence, resilience, and self-belief. Fluent in five languages (and familiar with a few more), I thrive on cross-cultural connection and continuous learning. When I’m not working or coaching, you’ll probably find me on a nature trail with my children, laughing with my girlfriends over hot chocolate, or lost in a good book.Let’s connect if you believe that meaningful change begins with empathy, collaboration, and the courage to act.
