I serve as the Chief Product Officer at Beable, K-12’s first Life-Ready Literacy System. Beable is a revolutionary, multidimensional system that breaks through to new levels of literacy and life-ready success. We enable educators to identify and close the literacy and opportunity gap with speed, to help students recover from learning loss, and to connect with students across all learning environments: face-to-face, remote, hybrid and blended. Beable is a uniquely comprehensive system that advances the whole student by intertwining literacy acceleration, intervention response, core content mastery, English language acquisition, career development and ACT/SAT prep. It ensures that all kids, regardless of their starting points, are on the path to gainful employment. A Public-Benefit Corporation, Beable is fulfilling its charter to further equity, economic opportunity and lifelong success for all learners, everywhere.I have extensive experience as an educator and product development leader. A former classroom teacher and reading specialist, I spent the first portion of my career working hands-on with students, and in particular with struggling readers. With this critical foundation, I then joined as a member of the founding team, where I conceptualized the innovative, award-winning and immensely successful product line. Thousands of schools across the globe used and benefited from these innovative offerings. Additionally, the products won numerous awards including Tech & Learning Best of Show at ISTE, the Mid-Atlantic Top 100 Technology and Learning Award of Excellence, and finalist placement in the SIIA CODie awards.
