About Rivas Hameed

Engineer by experience. Defender by Passion. My love for computers began in the 1980s, when my dad brought home an IBM PC — one of the earliest in our town. I was instantly hooked. What started as fascination with blinking cursors and BASIC code turned into a lifelong journey into technology — and eventually, cybersecurity. Cybersecurity drew me in because of its adversarial nature: a constant push and pull between defenders and attackers, between order and chaos. I was fascinated by how people could break systems — and more importantly, how we could build systems that are harder to break. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across- Host-based Intrusion & Detection Systems - Log and Network-based Threat Detection - Endpoint Agents for telemetry and defense - And now, identity-first threat detection — securing users where trust begins. Whether I’m deep in code, mentoring teams, or designing systems that stay resilient under attack, I bring a calm, focused energy and a relentless drive to make things secure — and make them work.
