   At present in my role of Director – Communications at Habitat for Humanity India, my team and I are responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies that help advance brand building, programs, advocacy and fundraising with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of Habitat\'s global network of donors, supporters and volunteers. I have played a lead role in identifying the communication channels, platforms and events that can best deliver Habitat\'s content to audiences that are strategically important for brand positioning, fundraising, advocacy and program delivery. This includes securing media coverage of Habitat\'s work across broadcast, radio, print and online media. Establishing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, senior leaders, board of directors, our corporate and institutional donors, volunteers, employees, PR and creative agencies, filmmakers, photographers and the communities we serve, has helped us effectively communicate Habitat’s brand value and impact. Our 360-degree communications strategy focused on brand building, storytelling, public relations, advocacy, celebrity-led campaigns, social media engagement, flagship events, charity galas and a symbiotic relationship with cross-functional local and global teams has enabled the organisation surpass its fundraising target by 142% and impacted the lives of over 1.7 million low income families in the previous financial year. I lead messaging and brand for the CEO, covering all aspects of his communications. I have also extended communications support to Habitat Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia and the Philippines as part of international assignments and have worked closely with the Asia Pacific Office and the Global teams. Serving as the brand custodian for Habitat, I am obsessed with telling Habitat’s story to the outside world and have built a team of highly motivated and passionate communicators from scratch.
