ABOUT RITWIK GHOSH

Currently writing my thesis for Masters Degree in Automotive Software Engineering at TU Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. My thesis is about extrinsic calibration of multiple cameras, Radar, Lidars. I am developing software using Robot Operating System, OpenCV, Point Cloud Library. I previously worked as a Hilfswissenschaftler (Research Assistant) at TU Chemnitz where my main focus of work is on the integration of sensor data for a sensor fusion platform for autonomous driving. I have worked with GNSS, IMU, machine vision cameras. I have used the data from the camera to perform facial landmarks detection using machine learning. I am interested in optimization techniques, machine learning and optimization, sensor fusion techniques and SLAM. Prior to my studies at TU Chemnitz, I was a Computer Engineer and software developer with more than 6 years industry experience developing performance critical real time software systems (3-D modelling software, trading software development, high frequency trading infrastructure and algorithm development).Core proficiency in terms of software is in developing performance critical software with C++, C. Have been writing software for Linux platform using the GCC tool-chain for most of my career.Skilled in using STL, many Boost libraries. Experienced in multi-core programming with C++ using the C++11 memory model and semantics. Fairly experienced with developing basic asynchronous communication using Berkeley sockets on Linux. Good at analyzing performance using tools such as Cachegrind. Good at object oriented programming, UML modelling and fundamental design patterns. Fairly well versed with machine learning libraries and using the framework of TensorFlow. Basic skills in suing the optimization toolbox of Matlab. Fairly skilled in Python scripting. I have used CMake, GitLab for package config, CI, build system.
