As the Founder and Director of Akam Foundation, I lead strategic programs that bridge the gap between grassroots realities and policy-level change—particularly in rural and underserved regions in northeast India.My work has focused on building sustainable models of social transformation through community libraries, gender sensitization modules, and educational outreach—initiatives like Kitape Katha Koi have redefined access to inclusive literature and well being for marginalized youth.With a Master’s in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati, I bring interdisciplinary expertise and lived experience to national dialogues on equity, education, and rights-based development.
