Hey viewers, Welcome to one of the finest and well-equipped electrical departments of the North-East region. Ever since its inception, the Department of Electrical Engineering of NIT Silchar, has been one of the most acclaimed branch in fields of academics as well as cocurricular activities that help bring out the best of its students’ traits. We at NIT Silchar has an age-old tradition of forming a society under each and every department of it so that it bridges the gap between the juniors and seniors and also serve as a mode of representation for the entire department. So, just like every department, the Electrical Engineering department too has its society under the name, ‘Electra Society’ that caters to all the academic and co-curricular persona of the branch. The Electra Society aims at guiding the students to undertake various activities like technical seminars and debates on various fields of electrical engineering which enables the students to keep pace with the rapidly changing technology. The Electra Society comprises of students of all 4 years of its department that hold certain posts such as the President, Vice President, General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary, Senior Executive members, Executive members, Technical members, Class Representatives etc. These students together form the core of its department that act as communication passage between the other students and the faculty members and the other departments.
