ABOUT RITISHA GHOSH
While studying the complex intersectionality between the environment and human health, I aspire to develop innovative health interventions that facilitate the adaptation of global health to rapid climate and planetary change - a focus of my MPH pathway at Cornell. My interests focus on emergency response to climate disasters such as heat stroke, drought, malnutrition, or vector-borne disease, while ensuring these solutions benefit both the environment, climate refugees, and underserved and vulnerable populations, sustainably. A gap persists in medicine and healthcare in regards to environmental awareness and preparedness for climate change emergencies among marginalized populations in the clinic and on the ground, and I hope to be a player in bridging this disconnect.
