Development professional with over 16 years of experience leads the ‘Government Advisory’ capability/sector across Asia and Africa at MSC with focus on three strategic themes: improving service delivery, strengthening state capacity, and market making. The ‘service’ delivery theme aims to enhance the citizen experience by ensuring that government benefits and services are more effective, equitable, and accessible, such as government-to-person G2P) programs and payment systems, social protection, and direct benefit transfers (DBT). Through ‘state capacity,’ the focus is on improving the efficiency of government systems by enhancing accountability and observability and reducing the burden on officials through smart/digital governance and public finance management (PFM). ‘Market making’ aims to stimulate private sector participation to address market failures by leveraging regulatory and financial tools. His functional expertise includes policy analysis and research, program design and improvement, pilot testing and implementation support, digital transformation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), and capacity building across key sectors such as welfare and social policy, food and nutritional security, agriculture and food systems, financial services, and climate change.
